Delivery fees

If you want your passport delivered to a New Zealand address, you do not have to pay a delivery fee. If you want your passport delivered to another country, you may need to pay a delivery fee.

COVID-19 and international delivery

Before you apply for your passport, check if the country you are in is currently suspending courier delivery services.

Delivery fees are charged in New Zealand dollars and range from NZD$15 to NZD$30.

The cost depends on the country you need the passport delivered to, and is automatically calculated when you complete the online application form.

Delivery fees for Australia

You do not have to pay a delivery fee if you apply online and live in Australia.

If you send a paper application to our Sydney office, your passport will be couriered to you within Australia at no additional cost.

There may be a delivery fee if you send a paper application to New Zealand and need your passport delivered to Australia.

Delivery fees for the UK

You do not have to pay a delivery fee if you apply online and live in the UK.

If you send a paper application to our London office and live in the UK, there is delivery fee of GBP£9.

If you send a paper application to New Zealand and need your passport delivered to the UK, there is a delivery fee of NZD$25.
